Dear Parents,

We have reached the end of the first half term and I certainly feel very proud of our school and everyone within it. Our Ofsted visit proved to be incredibly positive and confirmed the great work that goes on in school every day. The new Ofsted framework has a very different focus to the old and is much more challenging to achieve than the previous in many ways. We look forward to receiving our report.

The half term holiday is definitely an opportunity for well-earned rest!

A huge BPS welcome to baby Immy.

Therapy Dogs

We are delighted to be working with two amazing therapy dogs – Rosie, the bouncy white Schnoodle and Shakespeare, the cool and placid Great Dane. We are so lucky and very grateful that their owners, Claire and Diane, give up their time free of charge to visit us. The children and staff adore them! Please let us know if you wish for your child to be excluded from working with or having a visit from the therapy dogs.

After-School Club

You may be aware that in January we will be running our own After-School provision – Owls Nest. We are really excited about this and will be inviting all parents to come and take a look around our new facility in December.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Please remember that children remain in the care of coaches or group leaders until collected by parents at the end of the session. Coaches/Leaders will release children at the allotted time from the front door. Football festival is the only exception where children are collected from the school field.

Midday Staff

We are currently looking to employ some casual midday assistants. If you would be interested in this role then please speak to a member of office staff.

Parking

We have had some worrying reports recently of unsafe driving and parking by our own parents which are causing a nuisance to neighbours or more seriously, are likely to cause injury to a child. Please do not park immediately outside resident’s driveways. If parking at the Community Centre or Bramley Farm, please park in a bay and do not drop off or reverse at the end of the road.

Parents Evening

Please remember that Parent’s Evening will take place on Tuesday 5th November 3:30-4:30 and on Thursday 7th November 3:30-6:30. Look out for information on booking your appointment time.

Christmas Fair

Put the date in your diary – Christmas Fair Saturday 30th November at 1:30-4pm
